The ingredients needed to make Steam rice and dal fry:
  1. Take For dal fry
  2. Take 1/2 cup dal
  3. Take 1/4th cup moong dal
  4. Get 1 tomato chopped
  5. Get 1 onion chopped
  6. Prepare 4-5 garlic cloves
  7. Make ready as required Green chilli
  8. Get as required Ginger grated
  9. Get as required Asafoetida
  10. Get as required Coriander leaves
  11. Get as needed Red chilli powder
  12. Take as per need Turmeric powder
  13. Make ready as required Coriander powder
  14. Get as per taste Salt
  15. Make ready As needed Ghee
  16. Get For rice
  17. Get 1 cup basmati rice
  18. Take 3 cups water
  19. Take as needed Salt
  20. Prepare as required Ghee
Steps to make Steam rice and dal fry:
  1. First soak both dal for 1/2 hrs then pressure cook for 3 whistle
  2. Now take pan add 2tbsp of ghee and add cumin seeds the add asafoetida and green chilli and ginger then add onion saute them well
  3. Then add tomatoes and add all the spices and salt cook for 4-5 min. Then add boiled dal and coriander leaves boil it for 5-7 min.
  4. Now on top add ghee and red chilli powder tadka
  5. Now for rice again soaked basmati rice for 1/2 and hrs
  6. Take a pressure cooker add 1 cup rice, salt and ghee and add 2 cups of water
  7. Pressure cook it for 3 whistle our steam rice is ready to eat
