The ingredients needed to make Quick Paalak Paneer:
  1. Get 500 grams Spinach leaves
  2. Prepare 250 grams cottage cheese cubes
  3. Make ready to taste Salt
  4. Make ready 2 cloves
  5. Get 3 green cardamoms
  6. Take 1/2 inch ginger peeled and chopped
  7. Prepare 3 garlic pods peeled and chopped roughly
  8. Get 1 bay leaf
  9. Get 2 tablespoon ghee
  10. Make ready 1 pinch asafoetida/hing powder
  11. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  12. Take 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  13. Get 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  14. Make ready 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  15. Prepare 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  16. Take 1-2 green chillies slit
  17. Prepare 2 tablespoon fresh creme
  18. Take 1 small onion chopped roughly
  19. Prepare 1 large tomato chopped roughly
  20. Make ready as needed Water
Instructions to make Quick Paalak Paneer:
  1. Rinse and roughly chop the spinach leaves
  2. Add them to a saucepan fill upto 1/2 in water
  3. Cover and blanch the leaves over high heat for 5 minutes
  4. Take them off water immediately after blanching in a colander
  5. Wash them under running cold water and place them in a bowl
  6. Blend the leaves with onions and tomatoes and keep aside in a bowl
  7. Heat ghee in a wok
  8. Add and sauté the panner till golden brown over Low heat and take them off heat and keep aside
  9. Add the cumin seeds, Bay leaf,green chillies, ginger and garlic,cloves and cardamom in the wok
  10. Wait till the seeds splutter and garlic brown
  11. Next add and sauté the spinach paste for 2-3 minutes covered
  12. Add the dry spices except garam masala powder and let it cook till oil separates
  13. Once the oil separates, add the sautéed paneer cubes and salt
  14. Mix well and add some water to cook the gravy to desired consistency
  15. Cook covered for about 3-5 minutes stirring intermittently
  16. Once done, finish off by mixing garam masala powder and fresh creme
  17. Mix and take off heat
  18. Serve warm with any Indian flat breads, garnished with some more creme,if desired
