  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
  4. Cut butter and shortening into dry ingredients.
  5. Mix in buttermilk and gently knead just a couple of times.
  6. Roll out and cut into rounds.
  7. Brush tops with additional buttermilk.
  8. Bake for 15-20 min. until brown on top.
  9. Brush with melted butter immediately after removing from oven.
