  1. Take 300-400 gm chicken with bones

  14. Get 1 tbsp coriander-cumin powder
  15. Take 1 tsp garam masala powder
  16. Take to taste salt
  17. Prepare 1-2 potatoes, cut into half
  18. Get 2 green chilies
  19. Make ready 1 cup basmati rice, soaked in water for an hour
  20. Make ready 1 tbsp ghee
  21. Make ready 1 tbsp oil
  22. Make ready As needed mint leaf to garnish
  23. Take As needed raita & salad to serve
Instructions to make Simple & Quick Chicken Pulao:
  1. Marinate the chicken with ginger-garlic paste, tomato paste, lime juice and all the dry powdered spices for an hour.
  2. Heat the ghee and oil. Temper with bay leaves and all the whole spices. Saute for a few seconds.
  3. Add the onion and fry till light brown.
  4. Add the marinated chicken and saute on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the drained rice and continue to saute for 2 minutes.
  6. Now add 1 & 1/2 cups water, green chilies and the potatoes. Pressure cook for 1-2 whistles.
  7. When done, fluff it with a fork. Garnish with mint and serve with raita and salad for a wholesome one-pot meal.
