The ingredients needed to make Indonesian style siumay:
  1. Get 500 gr white fish fillet
  2. Prepare 2 tablespoons shallots
  3. Get 1 tablespoon garlic
  4. Make ready 2 teaspoons ground pepper
  5. Get 1 teaspoon chicken buillion
  6. Get 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  7. Take 1-1/2 tablespoons salt
  8. Make ready 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  9. Make ready 3 eggs
  10. Prepare 400 gr labu air or zucchini, steamed, grated & drained
  11. Prepare 450 gr sagoo flour
  12. Make ready 25 sheets store bought wonton wrappers
Instructions to make Indonesian style siumay:
  1. Mince finely the fish
  2. Grind the shallots, garlics, sugar & salt into very fine texture.
  3. Mix well the fish, ground mixture, ground pepper, chicken buillion & sesame oil in a bowl.
  4. Add in the eggs one at a time, mix well.
  5. Add in the labu air or you can exchange with zucchini, and mix well.
  6. Add in the sagoo flour gradually. The texture supposed to be a soft dough.
  7. Prepare store bought wonton wrappers. Take one sheet & put a tablespoon of the dough on the wrapper. Then fold as you like.
  8. Put the stuffed siumay on a tray that has been greased with some cooking oil. Line them densely & brush some water on top.
  9. Steam for 20 minutes on medium high or until well cooked.
